CCC updates

At our last meeting we voted on officers and started working on our ride schedule. The heavy rains from April 15th raised havoc in central Vt much like Irene and with our snow pack still melting out and continual rain in being good stewards of the land we envision a late start to the riding season. With so much up in the air we are unable to post a ride schedule at this time. I’m planning to have some variation of my Thunder Mountain August

I’m planning to have some variation of my Thunder Mountain late August likely the weekend before Labor Day August 25th.

The CCC needs your help. With Kyle and Ruthanne out of state, change of officers, soggy spring and late start we need folks to step up, help with the Learn to Ride and/or host a traditional CCC ride. If someone can take on a route and be trail boss or just reach out to club to help with pre-ride work that would help immensely. Our northern routes should be in good shape, central VT likely will require some rerouting. We need some eyes and ears once we can get out in the woods if any class IV’s are affected.

Regarding officer changes Richard (Dick) Mitchell is the new president and Ray Atwood is our VP. After 4 terms; (8 years) I felt it was time to change it up with a new president with new ideas and I know Dick will be a great leader for the club. I’ll still be active with the club, host rides and assist with the transition of officers. We’re also actively looking for a new secretary since Ruthanne is in Georgia. Stayed tuned for more info,

Ron Arms (former CCCofVT president)
